Uniform Policy

All children (apart from Nursery age) are required to wear school uniform.

Our uniform is jade green polo shirt and navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with

blue, grey or black trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore.

Green and white summer dress (dresses are optional).

PE Kit

PE kit is a navy t-shirt, black shorts and trainers / plimsolls - for outdoor PE lessons.

Optional PE Kit:

Navy Stainton School hoodie

Navy tracksuit bottoms

We ask that children also have a green school book bag.

Uniform, PE kit and book bags are available to purchase from:
Sam Scotts – 14 Little Dockray, Penrith, CA11 7HL
Telephone 01768 866961

Or you can order online at:

www.samscotts.co.uk

Although there are other places to buy the same items of clothing.

As a school, we also stock a supply of pre-loved uniform. Our PTA hold uniform sales on a regular basis, where we sell pre-loved uniform for a small cost. If you require pre-loved uniform, please feel free to get in touch with our PTA at PTA@stainton.cumbria.sch.uk or pop into the school office and speak to either Becky in the office or Mrs Wilson.

To help keep the school clean we ask that children have a pair of indoor school shoes (no trainers please)

and a pair of outdoor shoes - eg. trainers / wellies etc.

It is helpful for younger children to have velcro / slip on shoes

so they can change their shoes independently.

Please ensure all uniform is named.

Remember to name shoes and PE kit too.

Jewellery

Jewellery in school is restricted to a watch and one pair of stud or sleeper earrings.

For health and safety reasons all jewellery must be removed for PE or other physical activities.  Teachers are unable to remove or replace children’s earrings and any child wearing earrings must be able to take them out and put them back in themselves.   If they are unable to do this then participation in the activity cannot be allowed.

We suggest that if your child is unable to remove and replace their own earrings that they do not wear any on the days they are doing physical education activities.

If your child is getting their ears pierced please ensure this is done at the start of the summer holidays so they have time to heal.

At Stainton School earrings must be removed - not covered.

Thank you for your co-operation.
