During the Autumn Term 2026, Year 3 and 4 children will take part in swimming lessons.

Swimming will take place every Wednesday afternoon for 10 weeks, beginning on Wednesday 9th September 2026.

Swimming Kit

On swimming days, children should come to school wearing their usual PE kit and bring the following items in a clearly labelled bag:

• Swimwear (please note that bikinis are not permitted)
• A towel
• Swimming goggles (optional)
• Swim hat (optional)

PE Kit

Our standard PE kit consists of:

• Black or navy shorts
• School PE T-shirt
• A long-sleeved top, jumper, hoody or fleece for outdoor activities

As the weather becomes colder, children may also wear plain black or navy PE tracksuit bottoms to help keep warm when not actively participating in PE.

Jewellery and Hair

For all PE and swimming sessions, long hair should be tied back. Earrings should be removed at home before school if your child is unable to remove them independently.

Please ensure that all clothing, footwear and swimming items are clearly labelled with your child's name to help us return any misplaced belongings.
